wadi ash shab

It is a very famous wadi located in the Al Sharqiya region of Oman.
The narrow gorge has crystal clear blue water pools and a secret waterfall inside a cave.

Fresh water flowing from the top of the mountains meets the salt water on its banks, creating an ecological diversity that puts it on a pedestal of its own compared to other wadis in the Sultanate.

Wadi Ash Shab is located in Tiwi, part of Sur in Al Sharqia South Governorate.

Qurayyat is located 140 km from Muscat on Sur Coastal Road.
Wadi Shaab is 1.5 hours from Muscat and 40 minutes from Sur town.

The main attraction of the valley is the waterfall in the cave, which you can reach by hiking for about 40 minutes and swimming in 2-3 pools

Depending on the water level, you may need to get a boat to take you to the other side from the car park where you start your hike.

There are villagers right at the car park who will take you across the pond for 1 OMR per person.  This includes a ride back from the other side after you finish.  Of course you can also decide to walk through the water pool

A secret waterfall, an incredible hike,…
Inside you have to walk through palm groves and rough rocks and swim through some pools to reach the main attraction of the cave waterfall with waterfalls. You have to walk for about 30-45 minutes to reach the cave and to enter it you have to swim through a hole between the mountains. The cave has ropes that you can use to climb the waterfall and jump into the pool.
