Congratulations and best wishes on such a positive venture. I am a teacher here in Oman and I suppose I should have an unbiased observation of the whole situation.

In short I can tell you that what you say is perfectly true. Western media is too much in a hurry to paint the picture as gloomy. It’s not the same as Egypt and Libya as you very rightly said.

The people here unanimously love and revere the Sultan. The grudge was against some of the administrators, and Sultan is listening to what people want and responding fast. He never was out of touch from them anyway.
